7 Plague Marines, 2x Flamers, Rhino
7 Plague Marines, 2x Meltaguns, Rhino

3x Obliterators
3x Obliterators

This is around 1500pts.
Lose Abaddon and add another Deamon Prince and some more obliterators if you want your friends/gaming club to hate you.

Wow, that is the meanest list you can build with the Chaos codex. Most people will hate you for taking that as is.

If you're new to wargaming, just pick up a box or two of basic Chaos Marines. They're fun to paint and you'll enjoy putting them together.

The nice thing about chaos is if you add randomness to your schemes, it still looks right.

Troops are the backbone of chaos and they're all pretty good (Although most folks think Plague Marines, Berzerkers, and regular CSM are the better of the mix). Start with that and Abbaddon and then mix to taste.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Observations on complex unit wound allocation: If you're feeling screwed, your opponent is probably doing it right.
