It appears I'm stuck in a time warp, a red one. I can't see past the redness of it all, it's going to see me leaking RED! All the armies I'm kicking out at the moment are daubed in the stuff...and I know that my Orks are going to have red trukks too. God help me, I'm sorry for all the red, but here is my Swarmlord finally finished and ready to go in the 'to game with' pile

Looks great! Of course now you must tell me, what paint(s) are you using to get that color-shift on the carapace?

For the carapace effect I got the specialist paint from here http://www.thecustompaintshop.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=42_2055_2132 . You should airbrush it on, but if you brush it on in thin layers then it works just as well

Wicked cool. I remember late 90's at Motorola when our finish specialist did a bunch of pager mockups in this stuff. People went librarian poo. 1st time I've seen it on a gaming model.

But the tail tip seems a wee bit underwhelming in comparison to the rest of it?

It reminds me of a beetle from the back. The shift of color really catches the eye.
