Just thought i up something i painted for my friends insanely good looking Vostroyans.
I tried to get the vostroyan paintscheme as accurate as possible since his army looks really awesome.

Wish i could upload some more images, but it's late and all the images was turned upside down on imageshack :(

(Hmm i noticed when i saw the images that i might add another highlight to the armor)

Okay so i finished the Officer of the Fleet yesterday, this was the first time ever i tried to do some white clothes and man was that a pain.
Overall i feel like the model is a failure compared to the Master of Ordnance.
A friend of mine came over and asked me if i had painted Santa Claus for instance :(
I also tried to paint him a little more pale in the flesh since (from what i understand) they rarely leave the fleet and that didnt really turn out the way i wanted it... well Apoc is coming up and i dont have time to repaint him either :(

A bit blurry :/

C&C Welcome

Looks good. Vostroyan stuff always looks cool when done well. Great work on the face. The only critizism would be paint the edge of the base (if that is consistent with the rest of the army) and maybe another light armor highlight but that's no big deal. Nice job.

The rim on the base is actually painted black in unison with the rest of his army (model was primed white). Added another lighter highlight to the armor and did some touching up aswell. Thank you for your kind words

Well the basing is very simple.
First:l Go to a sandbox nearby (dunno if you got those in the States) and take a couple of fistfuls of sand infront of the surprised kids.
Second: Just smear some PVA glue on the base and dip the base in the sand.
Third: Prime your model (I primed white on this one)
Fourth: Paint it with Codex Gray diluted with water so it gets into all the cracks and wait for it to dry. Then apply rich amounts of badab black wash and wait for that to dry. then i drybrush it with bleached bone and then an additional light drybrush of skull white.

Happy Basing!

Very nicely done!

As a side note, I'd reccomend using the gallery function here on dakka. It works a lot better than Image Shack, imho.
