Hi guys. My name is Jon, and I learned about Dakka Dakka through The D6 Generation podcast.
It's been a long long time since I've played any miniature wargames. I'm a role-player and board gamer. When I was growing up in Houston, I had a friend by the name of Todd who had a HUGE collection of Lord of the Rings minis. Several armies worth. And he had a nice terrain table on pulleys in the garage. So during the week, he'd raise the table to the ceiling so his mom could park in the garage, but on weekends she'd park on the street and a bunch of us would go over to Todd's to spend the night playing LotR wars in the garage. It was awesome! I can't remember what rules we used to govern combat, but it was a blast to push those guys around that table doing battle with each other.
So anyways, I'm a big fan of the podcast and I'd love to get back into mini warfare.
