i was just looking at the Witch hunters FAQ and i noticed this

Q. Does the Callidus Assassin’s neural shredder
count as a single or two-handed weapon?
A. Single handed

im not sure if the C'Tan sword is single handed but if anyone knows, could you let me know cause that would essentially give her 4 attacks and 5 on the charge,

The neural shredder is not a pistol, so it doesn't count as an additional CCW.

P37:
+1 Two Weapons: Engaged models with two singlehanded
weapons (typically a close combat weapon
and/or pistol in each hand) get an extra +1 attack.

@Gorkamorka: Huh. Didn't realize it was worded that way. This makes me think if my gung-ho Catachans who wield flamers one-handedly while having the knife ready in the other hand should get additional attacks for that.

isnt it a C'Tan Phase Knife? On the model it looks attached to her wrist so I always assumed 1 handed maybe I am wrong but I always played her with the 1 handed. 4 base attacks 1 on the charge.

I think with the FAQ ruling saying the neural shredder is a single handed weapon the intent is to give +1 attack with the phase knife

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

That and, in my experience, it's usually implied that melee weapons like the sword are single handed unless stated otherwise.
I'd allow the combination to give an extra swing, myself.

WHCodex:

Callidus: C'tan Phase Sword: The C'tan phase sword can only be used in close combat. No saves are allowed against hits from a phase sword, not even invulnerable saves!

ok in the description i see no mention of Power Weapon or 1-hand or 2-hand but, it claims its a Phase Sword, Now Does anyone have any idea if a phase sword is Single Handed?

Is a Chainsword a single-handed weapon?
How about a Power Sword?
Is someone really seriously asking if the Phase sword is a single-handed weapon?

Yes, she gets +1 attack for using two single-handed weapons. Geeezzzzzzzzzz

The correct term is actually a "Murder".

Ha, murder of rules lawyers... What an apt description.

But I jest. I have always played it with the Assassin gaining an extra attack from her weapon combo, much as it pains me to give that damn thing an extra chance to kill my Sorcerer Lord. Rules as Written, it doesn't seem to specify, so I go with a pinch of common sense(I know, not always applicable to Games Workshop rules) and common precedent (most chainswords and powerswords are one handed by default). This seems to be a rather safe way to go, but I'm sure that someone's going to disagree with me.
