If I understand this right, if I want to play in the 1850 I need to buy a 50 dollar pass for the whole event, and then pay an additional fee just for that tournament?

Yep, Origins registration fee, and then a minor $5 or $7.50 for the RTT or any of the other day-long events. The short events are either freebies or $2.50.

However, you are not just getting our tournament for the registration. This is a HUGE convention, and last year pulled in 15k people over 5 days.. we are just ONE group running in the miniatures hall.

I cant just get a one day pass or something? I wouldnt mind playing, but have no interest in anything else at origins, and feel that spending 55 just on the ticket to a single RTT is too much for my budget.

I believe that one day tickets are available.. not sure of their cost. Check the Origins Website.

Last year there was a $20 per day fee, or a significant discount if it was your first time attending.

This year there is supposedly a $5 fee to attend, per day, if you DON"T play any games, and just want to watch or shop the Exhibit Hall.

The day pass is $30 for Saturday. For $50 you can get all days and participate in the Apoc game on Friday then the RTT on Saturday. If I had more time I would try to make it for both events but I can only make it for the Saturday Event.

Is there a site with more info? I've been to 40kOrigins, but I'm not sure what FOC the 750pt doubles tourney uses (split seperate), is painting required, etc.

I plan on being there with my IG and a variety of lists, so hopefully I can get some games in.

Columbus, Oh

pretty much the first post has all the info that we have..

If you are bringing a 750 force, you will need to have 1HQ and 2 Troops as usual. Painting is NOT required for this, but it IS encouraged.

I will have my nic on my badge.. so I look forward to seeing you!
