Hey guys, I'm a new Dakkaite. I've been lurking avidly for quite some time now and finally decided to become active on the site. I love the discussions and such here and hope to get into much of the going ons. I currently run a very unconventional Tau army and try to run it mostly at 1500 points. I look forward to this!

Hey guys! Thanks a bunch for all the welcoming posts! By unconventional I mean that I play my Tau without any Railguns but instead rely on Fusion Blasters on Crisis Suits and from Piranha.
It's because although Railguns are more likely to get shots at the targets you need, they are not as amazingly efficient as Meltas for the price. Riskier but to really compete in take all commers I think you need more firepower than a railgun provides. I also use lots of TL flamers.
