Looks like a good mechvet list. I assume the last vet squad goes in the valk? 50 scoring squishies, lotsa mobility, good support elements. I like it!

Finally!!! Thank you murdog its good to finally get some words back on this list. My idea for the list is to have one autocannon squad stay off the objective but be in support for the other squad on the objective so if they were killed which will most likely happen they can kill off and control the objective. The demovets will hopefully pop something first turn or outflank with the valk. Then all 4 Chimeras including the CCS, PBS, banewolf and the two vet squads will try to control a objective and using a PBS knock whatever is on there objective off by making them run. And demolishers will do what they do best destroy everything.

I like it still. Clean, lean, and mean. I just love how you've got 50 fully mobile vets in a 1500 pt list while maintaining alot of firepower. Nice work.

Your math is off on your PBS. That cost only gets you 7 psykers, 1 overseer, and the Chimera....8 total models, with only 7 of them psykers.
Also, you have no long range AT. This is a problem at 1500 points. your squichy units have to get way to close to any real dmg.

Thank you Alarian ya i was wrong here it is i'm pretty sure this is right it still packs the same punch. The only army that could possibly put up a serious threat to this army is tau. Every other army has to get close to do damage and I'm willing to bet I could outshoot them before they can harm me too much. And if there is a unit that is staying back its the job of the melta vets in the valk to pop them. Also my units are in chimeras so they are not footslogging it so really there wouldn't be any problem getting to the enemy.

Your only ranged attacks for anti-tank come from two autocannons, the Psychers and whatever the lone Valkyrie carries. There are a lot of lists that force you to move to be able to shoot them (Other IG lists, devastator-heavy SW, Tyranids, etc.) What your current list forces you to do is fight in the midfield, in which Space Marines are the current kings.
I think you have far too many points invested in troops, and those points can be used elsewhere.

@Fearspect, he's limited to 2 HS, Elites and FA options, so troops are probably the best choice.
Wings, I think you should swap the CCS' medipack for a plasmagun, saving 15 points - upgrade the flamer veterans to meltaguns. You really don't need the extra templates, you have MRP valkyrie, banewolf, 2 demolishers, and some HFs on the chimeras already. I'd be more worried about redundancy for anti-tank.

Ah first off, I can see you got no special characters in the list. Is there a reason to this? I know with my army for example i'm going hardcore Catachan so it's decked out with Colonel Straken, Gunnery Sergeant Harker and my own custom Guardsman Marbo. also only tanks i'm using is the hellhound varients as they are down to the tracks Catachan. I was thinking of doing an entire vet army but have come to terms with point value and so on. I was convinced to take a massive platoon with heavy weapon teams and so on. Only to have a nice firing line.
with all those Vet's and a gak load of dice you'll get that little extra umpf when you hae to role 3's and not 4's which can make or break the game. You'll wanna wack in a very good and self sustainable vet squad in the valk so at the end of the game you can basically rush em in and get to that out of the way objective. I have my own little plan. Ill have harker leading his devil dogs with pay back, another heavy bolter, 2 grenade launchers to to all rain hell and heavy flamer incase they get close enough. did i forget to mention i will infiltrate them in cover near an objective so that anyone who goes near it will be genuinely screwed, especially with my on average 3+ cover save that harker emits.
But genuinely mate. great list and hope to hear how it does. if you dont get a win, pick the point that failed you and improve on them.

Thank you for the correction to Fearrespect yes this is a tournament this so I'm really restricted. I could make a much better list. And I think I'm gunna take your advice and add the 4 plasmas to the CCS and upgrade the Flamers to meltas.

The reason I don't use special characters in my list is I would rather have a much more balanced list to me a IG special character does not offer enough at 1500 to make me want to take them. I would rather use a CCS with plasmas which can do alot more damage. I used to use Marbo but after two times in a row watching him throw his demo charge back on himself I was fed up throwing away 65pts.

I'll be playing on Saturday against a daemon player in my local gaming group or if not i'll find another opponent. I'll post pictures and hopefully a good battle report. Thanks for all the advice here is a total revised list.

That is an option but I'd rather have the template weapon it works alot better for me in the test games I have run but it is definitely an option.

watch out with the plasma guns in the ccs. might back fire. in the latest white dwarf where the angels take on chaos. the chaos player killed 2 guys with it.
just a warning.

I don't think the 'correction' I received really made much sense in regard to what I stated.
First, why do things with vets having an autocannon and GL and not even having a chimera. Is a 10 point autocannon really worth the premium you are paying for all of those extra wounds? I think you would be much better served with platoons supported by AC heavy weapons squads.
Here is a sample that I enjoy:
PCS w/ 4x Flamer, Chimera 105
Squad w/ Lascannon, Chimera 125
Squad w/ Lascannon, Chimera 125
HWS w/ 3x AC 75
HWS w/ 3x AC 75
Total: 505
Power: Awesome
Toss in some CCS or Vets with meltas and you can have some real fun.
Second, you can get some great choices in the heavy section with squadrons of vehicles. I also don't see much of a point to singles like a banewolf or the PBS in your list. If I see a single of something that affects my army greatly, it is no problem to take that one target out.

Well all the points on my list could be targeted but lets say you do shoot at my PBS anything on my list can still do damage to you and the turn you shoot at that I could hurt you with something else. I'm still deciding on the bane wolf and whether or not to keep it if I did get rid of it I would go for a Vendetta. And I don't get any extra wounds when i add a autocannon the squad still only has 10 wounds. These two squads are for sitting on objectives or laying down fire. Or in other missions as bait since they are the only units that do not have a transport. I have playtested them and they work just fine but the base you have set up could be a really nasty opponent. Yes squadrons of vehicles can work great but I don't have the need for them. I have a really balanced list and unless i get tabled or find that they don't work i'll stick with them.

This is not balanced, you have no ranged support other than two autocannons and the demolisher cannons. What exactly are the PBS lowering leadership on if you can't even pin something?
