I dont think i fully understand what the point of a waghhh is becouse you do it in the shooting phase and its basicaly a Fleet of foot that you can use once per game.... thats kind of dumb.... or do you get to run and waghhh or what?

It lets you run and assault in the same turn, which will let you get into close combat from 13" ~ 18" away. Not like, super mega ultra awesome, but it can be pretty darn useful if the dice are on your side.

With a open-topped transport, you're looking at 13" move (red paint), 2" disembark, 6" waaagh, and 6" assault, for a possible ~27" assault. That can be huge, given the right circumstances-- in a transport-heavy ork list, that can mean a lot of 2nd turn assaulting going on.

That sounds pretty awesome to me!

There is no greater power in the galaxy then Orky Believe and the Waaaaaaaagh!

And it gives me an excuse to scream "WAAAAAAAGH!" when I use it

Yes a WAAAAGH! is just a once off Fleet, but it applies to the entire army. It gets meganobz into assault, it give Stormboyz a 30" threat radius. Its absolutely fantastic.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.

Stormboys don't get the benefits from Waaaagh!, as they aren't infantry.

Hey I've only used them once. And its not like Simon noticed what with board being so small everything bar the Kans were assaulting in turn 2.

And I don't try to place Land Raiders and Assault Terminators on the table in Dawn of War deployments

You missed the ~1" disembark as well, as only the back of your base has to be within 2"

Ghazzys Waaagh makes everyone Run 6" and gives them Fearless for a turn, which is fantastic for groups of nobs...

The WAAAGH! has won me many battles! It's like having Gork & Mork channel through your boyz and into your opponents, making a glorious mess of things!
If ya have Ghazghkull with ya then its all the better, and lasts longer too!

Just make sure not to miscalculate your WAAGH! A turn too late or a turn too early or your boyz get eaten for lunch.
