Have a few days off at last and I was sorting through all my old figures. I came across nine original metal IG and got to thinking how they would make a good vet squad to go with one of my Valks, I also came across an original Squat with chainsword and laspistol...
Does anyone think I would get any complaints if I used the Squat as the vet sargent?

Hrm... it's an interesting idea, but considering how the IG recruit I don't understand how he'd get there... Maybe if he was a specialist or a normal trooper it'd be more probable.

But hey, nobody has a right to dictate to you on this stuff... Perhaps you could say they came accross him and found him resourceful? Made him an honourary member?

Maybe this IG unit could have fought on the Squat homeworld?

Personally I'd use a figure like that for a rag-tag penal squad

Here's my thinking- before they had their own army list Squats were part of the IG and as regiments get smaller due to casualties they get swallowed up by other regiments hence him being part of a vet squad...

Could work, do you have any other Squads to throw in?

You could do some conversion work maybe... try get some squats manning your vehicles etc? (I assume a Tank Commander is easier to make look like a squat).
