So I am interested in getting into warmachine. I am pretty sure my army will be Khador, led by irusk.

I plan on making my list based on:
1. Moving through my own units
2. Screening Man-O War with winterguard
3. Starting with one jack. Either a spriggan or a devastator
4. Using Man-O war as the main focusof my army.

Main concerns
1. Are infantry lists worse than jack lists
2. Should I take simple units of winterguard and spam them, or put rocketeers and take mortar ones?
3. Can you buy bags of warmachine bases from privateer press?

Please criticize because I do not want to invest large sums of money into something that will be utter crap.

I play Khador and Epic Irusk is a good choice for a prodominant infantry list. In going more infantry you do want to compensate against Jacks with some harder hitting troopers. MoW ST are good for that but can get mileage out of MoW Demo Corp.

As for Winterguard, a unit with the UA and 2-3 rocketeers backed up by Kovnik Jozef can address multiple threats and will actually hit. If you have points, a mortar is always a good choice to include.

As for a Jack I do prefer a Destroyer for him as Fire for Effect is a nice spell for it. Spriggan is a favorite of mine but a Devastator you would need to be careful with when using Rain of Death. Will kill the WG.

If you want to use MoW as a focus of the army then expect a slow progression with them. Been there tried that as a whole MoW army. Looks good, performs decent enough but not very flexible IMO.

To answer your base question.

As to your other question check the privateer Khador forums for solid list advice. I'm a Cryx player, so I have a trick up my sleeve for every occasion. But, yes take rocketeers.

Also remember that because your MoW have larger bases they can be picked out from your WG.

See that? That thing just stuffed two other things into that bigger thing! What in Morrow's name is going on?"
