Lets say that I have a group of Lootas screened by some involentary Grots, giving the Lootas cover save from incoming fire.
The enemy choses to fire at the grot screen instead, and I choses to GTG to get any saves at all with the Grots.

Now the question, will the Grots still provide a cover save for the Lootas, despite laying on the ground.

Logicly they shouldnt, but I cant find anything in the book, saying that GTG cancels cover saves for the units behind.

If they still obscure the unit behind, then the unit behind gains a cover save.

This.

If you play by INAT, they ruled that the lying down was an abstraction and the models blocked LOS as they normally would standing.

Yes, they still grant the cover save.

Grots actually go to ground by leaping in to the air. It is MUCH harder to shoot a grot jumping up and down than you would think, especially because of how stupid it looks
