This is no big deal, but I was curious at to the cause of it. I have thread that I originally titled "Wood Elves Running Log" in the WHFB Battle Reports section.

I then edited it to "Wood Elves Running Log (updated 3/15 with tourney results)"

It currently is "Wood Elves Running Log- Updated 3/26, WE vs. WE"

However, under the main Forum Index it shows up as the second title. I find this interesting, since it's obviously showing one edit, but not the most recent one. I tried logging in and back out and refreshing the page, as well as viewing it with a different browser.

Is it just that the forum index doesn't update thread titles as soon as they're edited? However, I thought that when I've seen titles edited similarly in the P&M blog section, the forum index shows the new title as well.

Edit: Well, I edited the first post again, just to try it- and now it shows up with the new title. Maybe it just didn't go through on the main page the first time for some reason! So it's resolved now

I think if someone replies as you are editing the main post, it will not update the title in the forums. There is quite complicated timing involved but as you guessed, just editing again and clicking save should usually do the job.

I've discovered another theory... When I edit the title of the first post of the thread, it does not update the title (just my thread in the fantasy bat rep section... the one in the swap shop edits just fine).

BUT when I edit the title of the last reply that I made to the thread, it updates the main title.

I've done this twice, and it worked both times, while the edit to the original post in the thread did not change how it was displayed in the forum index. Weird, eh?

Just to update that I've now noticed that from an edited thread in the swap shop, too. The edited title shows up in the forum, but not in the main forum index.

It's not a problem, just figured I'd keep ferreting it out / narrowing it down in case it helps fix anything bigger/related
