This list is meant to be reasonably effective, but not optimal, and not a tournament list. I like shooty orks, so that is the flavour. I don't really want a Kan Wall list, nor a BW Spam list.

The general tactical plan is to put the KFF/PK Mek in with the Burna Boyz in the Battle Wagon. The Trukk Boyz will flank the BW helping to protect against side armor shots, while the 3 move up the field. The Lootaz are placed with good fire lanes to cover most of the board, and the Shoota Boyz will be following along behind the BW and Trukks.

I realize that there isn't any decent Anti-AV14 except for the Deffrolla, but there's not much I can do about it, except maybe swap out the SAG for a Warboss w/PK.

Comments, suggestions welcome!

I would drop about....18 Lootas to free up about...270 points with the following changes,

2 more Battlewagons, so you can throw those Shoota Boyz in a wagon. Your main problem I see with the list is that those boyz will be left behind by the other orks, and the end result is less of a chance to use them in actual combat. Throw them in a BW and suddenly they become that more vicious.

One thing I realized with the SAG is the double snakeyez result is REALLY REALLY BAD. Imagine losing about 200 points worth of boyz on bad rolling, let alone a teleyporty Big Mek. Give the SAG Mek a burna as well; giving it a power weapon if needed when it teleyportas towards the enemy. A bosspole wouldn't hurt either, as you don't want it to flee along with the Lootas. Cybork might be pushing it, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

With the remaining points, put a few reinforced rams on the ork trukks. Kombined with three BWs, most of your orky force will make it to the enemy without too much hassle.

And if you want, you can throw a lobba or kannon on the BWs to give them a bit more x-tra shooty power once they drop off their dakka kargo.

Thanks for the suggestions. As I mentioned above, I don't really want to make a Battlewagon spam list, and at 1500 points, having 3 of them kinda feels that way.
The way I see it, is that the Wagon and Trukk escort will move 12" and the Shoota Boyz will move 6+D6" a turn until they can shoot something, so they won't be that far behind.

I realized that I neglected to mention where the SAG was. I was really hoping to take 10 Gretchin, and stick him in cover somewhere, but couldn't get the points. So he's going to be in one of the Loota squads. However, he'll be strung out to the max 2" of unit coherency, so that he'll only take 2 or so Lootaz with him on snakeyes.

He is a gamble, yes, but there are only about 4-5 rolls out of 36 that really suck. He is also quite Orky.

I could drop some Lootaz for more points, but they're really good. Mathhammer says on average, 15 lootas are dropping 5-15 STR 7 hits on something.

I understand how you intend to play it, but I don't get the 'flavor' or the 'not spam' part. I mean, you have like, a 700pt army...then took it again and added a battle wagon. lol

Wait, I get it! The flavor is canned pork product! HA!

The flavour is Shooty Ork.
Spam to me is 3 or more of the same unit. Any decent ork army of significant points cost will have duplicate units.

Have you thought of using Big Gunz as well, or do they not constitute as orky for you?

If so, what about a unit of Flash Gitz. For fun and semi-competitive games, they are essentially shooty nobs that cause a rukus with all their dakka and nob resiliency.

I definitely have thought of using some Big Gunz, and I've debated putting some Kannonz in. And oh man, I love Flash Gitz from the fluff perspective. Hell, they're the reason I'm painting a Bad Moonz army. It's just too bad that they are one of the least effective per point of any Ork unit.

The reason I'm trying to balance fluff against effective is that I don't want a cookie cutter list, but also play with relatively competitive friends.

Downunder

Give the KFF Mek a burna instead. He can fire with the squad and contribute to FLAME TEMPLATE COMBO MULTIPLIER!!!!

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...
Lets settle this in the arena http://pantsformer.mybrute.com
