I'm going to be in Wales for at least a few weeks (near Pwllheli) and am wondering if there's anyone in the area?

Anyone know how far I need to go for a game? Bangor?

If you can make it to Chester (roughly a 2 hour drive though :S), the GW here is pretty grand and has loads of tables Be happy to give you a game!

1500pts

I go to university in Bangor, so not too far away. I know there is a university club thingy but I haven't been for ages.

Unfortunately we are currently on Easter break so no one is around for another 2 weeks or so.

Acme games are based in Bangor and Llandudno, the Bangor store doesn't have any tables but the Llandudno one has 3 4x4 for smaller games and a standard 6x4. I think it's about an hours drive away from Pwlhelli. Game nights are on Friday between 4pm and 8pm and you should be able to get a game, the Llandudno store has been open for less than a month so it's still pretty quiet during the day time, but with it being Easter I'm sure there will be young'uns about in the day for small, basic game. There are no hardcore, rules lawyer players there as there hasn't been anywhere to play like this before in the Area, Chester being the nearest place I know of with tables, so we mostly just play friendly games

Sounds good, I'll be there tomorrow.

What time do people start arriving and what are the common 40K game sizes?

I usually get there for 4pm and there's a couple of the younger guys there. As for game sizes, the younger guys play 400point Combat Patrol rule missions with the in store armies. The 4x4 tables are perfect for 1000point games and the standard table can take up to 2000 I reckon.

Can't tomorrow, might be able to Friday though. If you wan't to play tomorrow, you'll have to get there mid afternoon as the store closes at 5, it's only open late on a Friday

Yeah, I'm planning on being there most of the day so will be able to give you a game. If you ask one of the guys for Chris they'll be able to point me out. Otherwise, I'm the big guy with Glasses

Cool, see you there - I'm bringing my orks so I'll have a big blue cube over my shoulder (kaiser rush case)
