Can anyone else see the dread face plate being used in necron conversions, or is it me?

No, its way too orky.

I can sort of see it, but with plasticard you could probably get the result you want but better.

This is good.... isn't it?

Must be me then, oh well just an observation.

Someone (I forget who) did his orks up as Dark Angels impersonators so I guess you could work up a mob who take their fashion from the Necrons. Don't know if it's viable or not but that's really the only way I see you making a Necron style connection here. Necron technology seems too "clean" for the reverse to work.

I forget where, but somewhere there is actually an entire army of counts as necrons using ork models. It was all really nicely converted and everything was wysiwyg.

Edit: Found it,

Face plate would certainly work there.

I think it would be easier to just carve a less orky looking one from plasticard, but thats just me. Great conversions come from useing the most unlikely of bits, so I say go for it.

i think if you shaved off all the rivets, you could use it for a great Tomb spider conversion. also, if you bought the whole kit, you could make some really nasty necron weapons from all the claws and stuff. goood observation there
