War Walker Pilot with Withering Fire

I had a game against orks,I think I did bad
Game 1
My list
Farseer
Asurman
5 Fire dragons
Wave Serpent
TL shruiken cannon
5 Path finders
5 Path finders
Vyper
Starcannon
Vyper
Shruikencannon
Enemy
Warboss
7 Nobz(or 10) cant remember
15 Burna boyz
10 Boyz
Trukk
10 Boyz
Trukk
10 Boyz
10 storm boyz,
The hero with them,I forgot the name
Battle wagon
Battle Wagon
Briefly,My Asurman and fire dragons destroyed a battlewagon and charge the nobz(and warboss)
My Vypers, one got owned by storm boyz hero,One immoblized two trukk
Pathfinders did nothing and got their arses kicked
Results:
Asurman alone wiped out the Nobz and the Warboss
Vyper contested an objective
Wave Serpent contested another one
And the other two objective was full of non scoring units
Is there any way to improve my list against that ork list?

So back to your actual question about the Eldars. I think you should lose the pathfinders against orks. They are very expensive and slow and orks have too many guys to care about a few sniper shots. Instead, split up the fire dragons into another wave serpent, you don't want to charge with fire dragons, you could have the dragons flying around cooking vehicles and then another unit flying around with asurmen shredding things in CC, possibly dire avengers? Bladestorm + Assault is awesome. Orks are tough man...I have trouble with them all the time, I play BA so the new codex may help, but orks are tough. keep at em! Ok, reluctantly I will help to explain.
I know Tony and he is a Chinese 15 year old lad. His English is actually quite good considering the situation. So please consider this when reading the posts. Automatically Appended Next Post: Tony - I think you should add the fact that you are a non-native english speaker in your sig, this will help to remove some of the replies that you get and focus the attention on the information and feedback that you are trying to get

... Want to know your biggest problem? You wasted points on Asurman ...It also sounds very much like you placed Asurman in the unit of firedragons (which you cannot do). Of all the Phoenix lords the only one that i use often is Maugan Ra he is one of the cheapest and IMHO best. (However you seem to be playing at a low points level ... how about taking only 1 HQ choice?) Personally i loath vypers they only work if they've a farseer hitting them with guide. (warwalkers suffer many of the same problems ... but they do take 2 guns). Also don't bother with Starcannons ... they were great but now with cover you're better off with scatter lasers ... they get 4 shots at 36" ... and are cheaper. Farseer ... every one is going to hate me for saying this but if your going to take a farseer take Eldrad first, yes he costs allot but he also is better. Troop ... you only seem to have two units of pathfinders ... You need more troops ... bare bones jetbike squad, 3 men, sat in reserves for as long as possible, when they arrive turbo boost about for safety. 66pts and one of the best objective grabbers.

Fixed it for you!
Eldrad is awesome. I tend to think of it this way - At 1500+ points, if you bring a farseer, it better be Eldrad. You have some options at less than 1500 points. Taking a one-power-seer like the ubiquitous Doomseer or Guideseer.

Sake is pretty good. I just don't understand how people drink it warm *shudders*.
On the topic of Eldar, Eldrad is damn good but not always worth his points depending on what else you have. I myself run full Mech with 7 Tanks at 1500 pts. Eldrad would be sweet here but he's also not very necessary. Instead I take a Doomseer with RoWarding to mess with Zoanthropes and if he does something then great. If on the other hand I end up not needing him then thats only 95pts wasted.
The difference between Eldrad and a Doomseer is enough to get me 5 Jetbikes and a Shuri Cannon.
What I'm saying is that sometimes its better not to ovevpay. Note: I run 3 Fire Prisms so I still can't claim my list isn't cheesy.

Only time i ever run a farseer with a single power is when i don't want to spend points on a HQ. Look at it this way if you took 2 farseers one with a spritstone you'd be pushing the same price tag as eldrad ( 190pts thats 3 of the cheapest powers and the stone).

Agree with Tri. Single power seers are the cheapest HQ we can really go with. If you are full min-max eldar mech, then you are running 6-7 vehicles at 1500 and really have no need for multiple powers on same turn or 3 powers a turn except perhaps a 3 falcon gunboat army.
Prisms don't need Eldrad. And often, mech lists that run that many tanks have min strength troop squads to 'make tanks scoring' and never disembark. The points levels are important to re-evaluate which type of farseer is best. However, in armies where farseers are needed, Eldrad can often out do 2 lesser farseers.
Every army list you make, don't just drop in your fav farseer set up. Look at the list. decide what units will benefit greatly from a certain power. count up how many units these are and how many different powers you decided on. If it starts to get a little crazy, then you're looking at Eldrad, or 2 seers.
If you come up with hardly any instances a seer would help at all, then you probably just want a single power seer with RoWarding as psychic interference.
