What is the most competitive (or WAAC if you please) list you can make using only terminators, dreadnoughts and vehicles from the Dark Angels codex (including IC in TA and obviously led by Belial)?

Obviously it won't be top tier, nor is it truly WAAC since you are deliberately 'gimping' yourself by restricting your list choices, but obviously you should still be able to optimize the list for the best chance of winning.

Alternatively, if you think you could make a better army using SW led by Logan and Wolf Guard in TA (with dreadnought and vehicle support) then provide that too

We're going to need a points limit here.

Just a point that I think is important: WAAC playing has nothing to do with bringing a good list to play with, it refers to people that cheat and slowplay to get desired results.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

Wolfguards could use normal PA guys to absorb damage for TDA guys. DW can not.

Logan and DW are totally different.

Points limits are 1000, 1500, 1750 and/or 2000

1500 is probably the ideal range...

What ever points range you feel most comfortable in imo

TDA wearing wolfguards ONLY, no PA allowed. The theme of the army is terminators and/or vehicles only.

Sorry about misinterpreting WAAC, many people I have discussed lists with call any army list constructed to win rather than constructed for flavor WAAC, because they feel you are discarding everything else in the aim of victory when building the list.

Edit: Total 1505

If you want more anti-tank power, you can give the dreads multi-meltas. Or switch out one or more squad of termies for a land raider.

The theme of the army is to lose, and make your opponents like to play with your army.

DW and Logan are different. You cannot copy the DW mode effectively.

And, is DW a very survivable army today? Why copy them?

That could only be worse. At least Belial won't cost you 275pts for making termies score.

Just because someone wants to field an army of terminators and vehicles only, doesn't mean they aren't interested in winning. Everyone has varying extents they will go to to win, some people will collect what ever is the best army, some people will choose the best from one of a few of the best, some people want one from only a specific codex, and others want one with only specific units. Just because some one wants to follow a theme, doesn't mean they have decided to defenestrate their chances of victory.

Yes, but Logan Wing terminators cost 10 points less per squad, have Counter Attack and Acute Sense (ATSKNF vs Fearless) their Cyclone missile launchers are better, although will cost you that 10 points, can expand to full 10 man squads (with a second CML) and have a bunch of other options including the improved storm shield we've all grown to love soo much. In general Space wolves are just another Codex with several different pros and cons.

What are you looking for?
A background list that, if talking about the Deathwing, will be everything but competitive nowaday or something updated that can just fit the estetical full-Terminator choice?

I use, just to keep alive the love I have for them, this Deathwing list for now and then:

1850p
HQ - Belial - TH/SS
TR - 5x Term TH/SS (Belial unit)
TR - 4x Term. TH/SS + 1x CML+Chain Fists + SB
TR - 4x Term. TH/SS + 1x CML+Chain Fists + SB
HV - Land Raider
HV - Land Raider Crusader
HV - Land Raider Crusader
EL - Dreadnought - TL Lascannon
EL - Dreadnought - MM + HF

One more Dreadnought for 2000p games:
EL - Dreadnought - TL Lascannon + HF

I think you can easily comprehend that I doesn't won a lot of games lately..

This as been my first army for a lot of time.. now it's just a relic of the past on my miniature case.

I can't help you about SWs lists.
