i havent been playing 40k for long only just over 3 months, but i have taken part in 2 tornys and reguly go to my local shop on game night to play, and i have noticed that the people that work there are unfair in the way they look at the rules. first instant i was taking part in my 1st tonry, it was for the battle missions book launch the rules state that you can give 3 models any universel rule so i did and gave a member the scout rule and in the rule book it states that any model with that rule and is in a dedicated transport passes that rule onto the transport. one player cauers a rukcus about it and the guy in the shop ruled i couldnt use it, 2nd the shop had a game set up where anyone could come in and play a game agains the new blood angles codex, i took part and one guy ruined the hole day for everyone he bosted he knew the last 4 rule books of by heart but when i said i was going to fire my basalisk direct he kicked off and got very agitated when i said it could but i gave in just to get on with the game evan one shop worker said i could, he still fought it and said its imposible. it is people like him that ruin the friendly game feel for everyone involved, and at the end we called it a draw he was still gong on about how the angles shuld of won over a IG army, that may well be but the GAME is over leave and do something else!
has anyone come across shop workers being two faced or unplesant know-it-all gamers?
