...was fething awesome. Tycho called something I did on Friday at the Q&A "epic" when I ran into him on the exhibition floor on Saturday, a high compliment from a minor deity of gaming. I got to meet Wil Wheaton and have him call my wife to say hello, which scored me boucoup brownie points and got my picture in the paper.

I got a bunch of game journalism info that was of immense value - spoke to Stephen Totilo, Deputy Editor of Kotaku, Susan Ardent, Senior Editor at The Escapist, and Chris Grant, Editor-in-Chief at Joystiq.

Lots of info to share with my fellow staff writers at the British gaming site I'm on, but also put the weekend editor position I've been told by the Managing Editor he's about to set me up with into perspective. Lots of people with yellow Press passes at PAX East, almost all of them indie journalists and bloggers. Fun to do, but no route into the industry as a professional. Way to get experience, but not a job.

Didn't play many games, though, other than Breach which is going to be a sick for only $15 on XBox Live Arcade. You can't believe it's an XBL game from the graphics...think Battlefield 1943 but modern weapons, destructible cover, an integrated cover system that snaps you into 3rd person ISO when you take cover, and really good graphics.
