Green makes a nice contrast to red.
Dark angels green, thraka green wash, delvan mud wash, scorpion green highlight - that's how I do mine

Girly Pink?.... lol, sorry couldn't resist.
Seriously, quick and easy way is (depends what you have) - base scab red or red gore, wash devlan mud or badab black, highlight liche purple then bleache bone very lightly.
I'm found a weak wash of some blue, say mordian blue can add depth.

right now their all painted blood red with bone white parchment i need to re-paint them to be the bleached bone color and im probably going with the scab red color i think it will look the best

Incorporating Wet-Blending
|
Green is a complementary color to red and is the studio choice for seals and lenses, IIRC. Blue would be another good choice within the color spectrum (cooler contrast) as would yellow (warmer complement). You may also want to consider black/dark grey for Death Company.
If DOW2 is any indicator, purity seals can come in a variety of different colors! So you may want to mix it up.

White is generally the colour of purity.
Since all SM's are virgins when they are married into their power armour, surely it is most apropos?
