Hey guys, how would you recommend that one paint a bronze like on Commander Dante, or the Sanguinary Guard?
I have some ideas, but I'd like to see how you guys do it.

Either that or go for some of the shades of Dwarf Bronze and Tin Bitz and Shining Gold to get a subtle metallic highlight effect.

Tin Bitz in the recessed, Dwarf Bronze on main parts, Shining Gold highlight.

NMM looks awesome, but my word it's fiddly!

It's the WD that's out now. They'll probably have the number up on the site somewhere.

When I'm going all-out to do a bronze...

Black basecoat
GW Tin Bitz
Black Ink to redefine the gaps

Then higlight in:
Bronze (I've been using one from an art store, works as good as GW Dwarf Bronze)
GW Shining Gold
GW Burnished Gold
2/1 GW Burnished Gold / GW Mithril Siver

Final wash in Flesh Ink

I'm hoping Badab Black and Ogryn Flesh will work out to be adequite substitutes once my inks run out...

I found a good way to do a dull sort of bronze. I mixed together Dwarf Bronze and Oily Steel (Vallejo model color. Not sure what the equivalent is, but you might try Chainmail or Boltgun Metal
