Hi
What do you think about loadout of CSS for mechanized veteran list.
I see some list having 4 melta. But sometimes 4 flamer.
There is a lot option for CSS. Not only weapon.
What is good? What is bad??
Tell me about load out of CSS

Seconded.
OP, why would you waste BS4 guardsman on flamers?

Well, or 4 plasma + chimera - the BiD order helps plasmaguns a lot.
As to the other stuff, take 4 special weapons and no other upgrades, always. Advisors: take an astropath (if your army has a few outflankers) and/or a fleet officer (if your opponents reserve a lot)

Some armies don't have units under BS4?

I'm also a big fan of a CCS outfitted with
3 plasma guns, 1 plasma pistol and a medic in a Chimera. With bring it town this unit pretty much auto kills any monsterous creature and also nukes down termies and MEQs. Its only negative is the high points cost.

Everyone else has covered what the CCS should take pretty well, here's what not to take. This is from personal experience after fighting Guard many, many times.
1. Anything CC related.
2. Bodyguards or Nork Deddog.
3. The Heavy Weapon.
4. Sniper Rifles or the Heavy Flamer.

Just out of curiosity, why not just drop the pistol and take 4 Plasma Guns?

Ok for mech I run 3 x plasma gun and 1 x medit kit. Ok you lose a plasma gun so you only have 3 instead of 4, but so what? I've got 5+ and then 4+ feel no pain for those get hot rolls and my squad will last longer through-out the game compared to a full squad which would normally fail it's armour save. I run two squads like this and both of them have always made it to the end of the game. I played against a CCS setup with 4 plasmas and by turn 3 the squad had lost 3 plasma gunners leaving just 1 and I hadn't even shot at them!
I tried flamers but you need to get into range and being a small squad means next turn you could get popped out the tank and then easily slaughtered. The same applies to meltas, though with meltas you'll cause more destruction but attract more attention - 5 guys with 5+ armour save isn't hard to kill.

Thx for replies
Melta is popular & solid choice.
Plasma seems good.
Medipack? is it good for real?

I think there's a case for flamers in a CCS tooled up for CC, but those are fairly rare for obvious reasons...
The medipack is nice considering the squad has 8 wounds, and it really helps when you're loaded up with plasma. I like dumplingman's setup for a plasmawagon...

Well medi kit works well for me and always has done. All you can do is try 4 plasmas and then 3 plasmas and a medi kit and see how long they survive and the fire power dished out.
Remember you can roll for shots seperately; so if you roll 5 1's it doesn't mean 5 armour saves, it could be that 2 guys have rolled 2 1's each and 1 guy has rolled just a 1 to hit.

Commander - Plasma pistol ( gun not an option )
3 Guardsmen - Plasma gun
1 Guardsmen - Medipack ( additional upgrades not an option )
Expensive unit, but it would scare me both to use, and to go against. One of the IG we faced at adepticon had an all plasma unit. By the end of the game, he lost two of them.

okay, you pass your FNP save, but you lose the weapon, don't you?
if he's not armed, he might as well be dead. i use 4 plasma or meltas in Vets squads and CCS.
PCS would have 4 plasma or 4 flamers.
but, that's just me.
