Magnus is a nice caster and has some cool tricks.
I have not really played him in MKII, but in MKI he was preffered with 2 renegades. I also like to take eirrys with him for the caster threat she poses.
IMHO croes are very good, but watch out for those stealthignoring things cygnar has. they might ruin your day!!!
the rest I can't really comment on...

Depends on the skill of your opponent and how tuned his list is.
EHaley is considered by many to be one of Cygnar's top competitive casters, so if your opponent is on his game it could be a tough fight.
Good luck.

Seems like a good list. Steelheads and Alexia to keep his stuff busy while your jacks move up to get stuck in and maybe get lucky for a Croe assassination run on a knocked down Haley. Solid. Let us know how it works out. Remember to make your opponent react to your moves, not the other way around.

Magnus the Traitor (Blur)
Renegade (Temper Metal)
Nomad (Iron Aggression)
Mule (Snipe)
Steelhead Halbediers (Alternate choice for Blur)
Croe's Cutthroats (Alternate choice for Snipe)
Alexia & the Risen
Orin Midwinter
Rhupert Carvolo
*Reinholt, Gobber Speculator*
35/35
Other than add suggestions on where to put your upkeeps there's not much I can add. Perhaps you could consider investing in Reinholt for situations like this where you are one point down. He's the only one point solo available to Four Star Syndicate. He's not super useful with Magnus, who likes to be up close but he does have some synergy and what else were you going to do with the extra point?

Nothing really lol. Its an idea to get the good ol gobbo but I don't tend to invest to heavily in warmachine these days as not many people around here play it sadly. This will be my second game in about 2 years since it died off.
Thanks for the tactical advice but im well acquainted with good ol maggy. I was very happy to see that he now gets free upkeep's and he has a few more potent spells to throw around. And yha I do know your suppose to run him with 2 renegades but I like to go with the less cheesy route and run one. Makes for more challenging games.
But thanks all. I will be sure to type up the battle report tommorow in this thread so keep an eye on it.

It's always worth mentioning, if only for the benefit of others reading the thread. Getting those upkeeps cast on his bettlegroup in the first two turns, especially against enemies that can't remove upkeeps, allows him to really push his warjacks, especially one with Iron Aggression on it.

Only real advice I have in dealing with things you can avoid is either keep your jacks away from her lancer, commit enough force to kill it in one go, or keep your jacks outside move + melee range of Magnus. Domination is bad to be on the receiving end of.
If you can get ahold of an Eiryss, it sure would level out the field.
