guys when i apply transfers after a bit they shine like the sun, in the sunlight. i paint over the transfer, still keeping its shape but it still gives off a visible shine. anyone know how to stop this?

There are some liquids made specially to apply transfers on minis and models. I use "Decal Cote" by Humbrol. As I don't know what brands are sold in your area, I recommend you to visit a classic model kit/RC/trains shop and ask about them.

Microset and Microsol are an awesome combo--microset prepares the surface, microsol makes the decal really soft so it fits against a curved or detailed surface really well.

You can put a decal on and paint microsol over it a dozen times, waiting between each coat for it to dry, and the decal will fall into any surface. Its awesome!

Sorry but I don't know if you can get them in the UK. But I can get them in Hawaii, and we can't get anything here...

i've used testors dullcote to get rid of the shine of decals. it takes 1-2 coats to protect the minis and get rid of the decal shine.

rdlb is right on the money.

I use Microsol and Microset and once it is dry paint over it with a layer of 'ardcoat. The last step is to seal the model wtih dullcoat to take the shine off. The decals look painted on.

You can order them from online hobby shops in the UK. I got mine from these guys.
