I had this feeling going on for a long time,

I hate jetbikes(Eldar guardian ones) because they are weak and cost like s*** money wise

They dun get anything in close combat so they will die out soon,waste your 54 bucks on something else

Maybe on Dire Avengers?Or even a wave serpent?

Oh yea,is there new ones coming out?In a big box?I am sure I will get bunch of them if they come in cheaper prices in the bigger boxes

I agree on the cost of the bikes in general in 40k. And everything else for that matter. The costs of the hobby have gone up at least 30% since I stopped playing years ago.

I personally think they're ok for what they do, 'specially if you throw in a Warlock for fun and profit, but $45 sans tax isn't worth it, IMHO.

i agree with you on the cost of the jetbikes, way over prices. as well as the price of the spacemarine/choas bikes aswell. realy... $45 for three little models thats just $5 off of a squad of termies who would probibly last longer in combat imo. they hsould lower at least the biker prices

I'm working on Speed Freaks right now.
Luckily I've gotten some good deals on ebay and with trades on bartertown, otherwise I would've spent over $250 to get 18 models for the first 1000 points of the pure biker portion of the army.
I know on average it's something like $500 for a 2000 point army, but thats only 18 models!!

I can't complain honestly...got my DE Bike squad mainly off of Ebay like 10 years ago. However, there's no way I would pay the money GW wants for almost all of their models now. It's ridiculous. $50 for a box of plastic Chaos/Loyalist Termies? Really? No thank you.... And yeah, the bikes are not worth what they cost imo.

I got DE bikes and Chaos bikes and they are both usually gone by the end of round 2. Most of that could be my thinking that bikes should be a strike force cutting straight to the enemy lines. Meh...

Guardian Jetbike or Termie, the cost is in the model itself, not the type of model in a game.

I got a shock when I heard how much the BA power armour squad was. $50AUS for five plastic mini's. Crazy. "Back in the day" I remember buying 10 metal space wolf hunters for $30AUS.

It seems GW found out people like plastic more. Up go's the price eh?

i got my jetbikes at 7.50$ a piece nib, not too bad, got 36 of the things at once and finished my jetbikeness for hybrid mechdar lists in 1 shot.

But yea they are stupidly expensive, if the deal wasnt os great id almost wish i bought a bunch of forgeworld, specifially a warhound or something with a bit of excess cash thrown in =/ ...

Jetbikes have never been anything for me to worry about too much, nor anything to completely avoid. They're not meant to be in the front and center of the force, and can't take too much of a beating. All bikers are like that, with the sole exception of Nob Bikers, who are priced accordingly.

20$ for a 50pt destroyer with the only good ranged gun for the Necrons. Squad is 3-5 so already that is 60$ and change at minimum. 1 turn of shooting and that 60$ just evaporates unless you spend another 60$ to keep that other 60$ alive. Might as well just throw money wads out there instead of models for Necrons.
