I've been on a short hiatus from the hobby for a couple months. I was really burned out on painting and taking on too many projects at once. I'm looking at finishing my chaos demons army in the near future.

I'm thinking of taking 3 demon princes with just mark of tzeentch to give them the 4+ inv. Ideally they will deep strike in next to Fateweaver who will add to their survivability.

Are the DP's going to be fast enough without taking wings to engage before getting shot up to bad? Also am I making a mistake by not putting bolt or breath on them to give them a little shootiness?

This is the 1850 list I am tossing around right now (there are 20 something points left over if I'm doing my math correctly in my head):

Fateweaver

the Masque (to deploy with deamonettes)

3x 3 flamers (1 with icon)

3x 8 horrors (1 with changling, 1 with icon)

20 demonettes (1 with aura)

3 DPs with MoT

if you want to run them up with FW, you need wings, if you take mark of Tz don't get iron hide, also the masque is not IC so can't attach and I don't think flamers can have an icon just a bolt.

I only trade in US thanks.

As Brazila said, you indeed cannot take Masque with the Daemonettes as she lacks the IC rule and doesn't get fielded with em as per Karanak or Changeling. Also Flamers may also only take Bolt, no Icons.

With 3 princes and Fateweaver, your opponent can only really hope to drop 2 of them if they're really lucky, i don't know the maths off the top of my head, but rerolling failed saves is going to be a massive help to footslogging survivability. Assuming of course FW doesn't get dropped first or run away if he takes a wound. Also, with the 3 princes, 3 Marks of Tzeentch is nice, but maybe try one with a mark of khorne and take Death Strike to go tank hunting. If you've got 20 points or so left, drop a Horror from each squad and you should have enough to drop some wings onto one of em.With a Mark of tzeetch you could take Bolt and Breath and with Master of Sorcery, cast both in the same turn.

The Tzeentch DP's are pretty awesome with Bolt/Gaze or whichever. They become pretty tough snipers that way. Or, since you are deepstriking in, Breath is always good. Really though, Soul Grinders are better than DP's in most cases if you're not giving them wings or a gun.

the masque parked next to FW is not terrible its a rerolled 3++, thats always pretty good!
