Hello everyone.

I'm a novice to the game about to start his first army ever and here's the roster I've been thinking about (Blood Angels, arriving codex):

HQ:
Librarian (100 pts)
(Blood lance and Unleash Rage)

Troops:
Assault squad (145 pts)
+ power weapon
+ hand flamer
+ razorback

Assault squad (125 pts)
+ power weapon
+ meltagun

Scout squad (85 pts)
+ 3 sniper rifles
+ missile launcher

Heavy Support:
Predator (135 pts)
+ lascannon sponsors

Fast Attack:
Baal Predator (160 pts)
+ heavy bolter sponsors
+ extra armor

Total pts: 750

Idea is pretty straightforward: to infiltrate scouts to some good position (maybe even objective), add librarian to razorback assault squad and send assault marines and baal forward, towards death or glory, while las-sponsored predator provides covering fire, sitting well out of harm's way. Jump-packed assault start on the table - with two attacking tanks they'll find something to hide behind even if terrain is scarce.

So, will it be "death" or "glory" - is it playable? And, if it suddenly is, what may be improved about it?

Thanks for any advise and any comments, however stern they may be.

Absolutely no comments so far.

Does this list display so much strategical acumen that it dumbfounds anyone looking at it and nothing is left to be improved? I highly doubt that.
Or is it so bad or ordinary it doesn't worth discussing? Tell me why, at least, so that I don't post crap anymore.

Alright well looking at your list.. this is what i came up with..i would prolly drop the pred annihlator... stick with the baal pred.. maybe even drop the heavy bolter sponsons on it and extra armor.. personally i think extra armor is a waste of points anymore.. theres only 1 number on glance or pen that it works for.. so you can save some points..i would add more assault marines in a razor back.. that still gives you 3 tanks charging forward for cover on the jump pack marines.. upgrade their power weapon to a fist just in case you need that extra punch in cc.. give librarian a jump pack and add in a sang priest with a jump pack to guarantee most of your force to have feel no pain and furious charge.

The list I came up with looks like this...

Librarian - Shield of Sanguinius, Blood Lance
-Jump Pack

Sanguinary Priest
-Jump Pack, Power Weapon

Assault Squad
-Melta Gun, Power Weapon
-Razorback

Assault Squad
-Melta Gun, Power Weapon
-Razorback

Assault Squad
-Hand Flamer, Power Fist, Jump Packs

Baal Predator

You have enough anti tank with 2 meltas in razorbacks , TL assault Cannon, and Blood Lance...Your Librarian now has much more maneuverability as well as increasing the squad size of your jump marines.. the Sang Priest gives a little more punch in CC and gives your jump marines more protection with feel no pain.. also with most of your force getting furious charge you can tear through just about anything in CC. Also you gain a third scoring unit. Also with the extra razorback you can afford to lose the dakka on the baal pred. Hope this helps.

I agree with the list above, but add TL Assualt Cannons to the Razorbacks, you then have 3 TL Assualt Cannons with which you can effectively take down infantry and AV12 tanks at range whilst you are advancing. I use this and it can easily destroy a dread and even a LRBT or Land Raider.

only prob with 2 twin linked assault cannons is that would be 70 points which would get rid of the priest and feel no pain and furious charge on everything

Maybe I've missed something somewhere but scouts are Troops now, so doesn't it make them scoring?
And maybe (both Priest and Libby are jump-packed so they'll have to join JP assault squad) I should equip Priest with combi-melta, add meltagun to JP assault squad and try to play "Descend of Angels with tho melta shots behind enemy tank"? FNP (and maybe even sang shield, if Libby doesn't use Blood Lance) will help them to survive enemy shooting phase and I'll have a nice assault squad behind the enemy lines?

Yep, I know the math about TL Assault Cannon being better (at 24" range) than TL lascannon against everything except AV13. But to get the points I'll have to drop the priest, thus denying me the chance to deep strike melta-carrying assault squad onto enemy tank ('cause without FNP the guys will be torn to kingdom come in the upcoming shooting and won't manage to do much assaulting afterwards).
And the army will turn into another "razorback-assault" pretty everybody will be running.

This "on everything" I hardly understand. You mean using tight attack pattern so that everyone remain in 6" FNP/FC bubble ('cause he'll only be joined to one squad and red thirst will most probably randomly appear in some one of three squads)?
