I've got a few of these beasties laying around and I just cant figure out if they are even worth putting into my army. Any ideas?

Oh, they are good. Take them as CC fighters, with boneswords and rending claws/scything talons. And some toxin sacs. If you have an open HQ slot, slip in a Tyranid Prime for maximum bloodshed.

I like them. I run mine with Toxin Sacks, a Pair of Boneswords, and Devourers, Led by a Prime with Lash Whip, Toxin sacks, and Devourer. All told, they are the second best unit in my army.

They are a compliment to the army, but should never be run on the front lines. You need that 4+ cover from a screen.

Deep-Strike them or run them behind your screen and you are golden. Put a Prime in there and it's just an amazing unit. Just need to play them smart.

I have found them to be sub par compared to the other options. However, A few with an attached Prime in a Spod can mess up an opponents day if played correctly.

Great points! I will deff use them. I may have to pick up a few more to round out the brood.
