I'm currently working on a project. What would you all recommend to simulate spilled guts, or tissue (like hanging from a severed head) and such things?

Hot glue is pretty good but a little hard to control.

i would try to green stuff the actual innards, paint it up, then add red food coloring to some slightly watered PVA glue(very slighty!) then add it where you want thick guts/blood when it dries you'll like the result

I had posted a tutorial for some gore-like effects a while ago... let me see if I can find it.

anticitizen013, that link is awesome, and it totally inspired me when walking down the craft aisle at Walmart. I use Apple Barrel paints, and I have become fond or Artist Pigment for simulating gore.

Looks like this, but mine is Burgundy:

I stipple red, then I stipple burgundy pigment, then I splash a watered down mix of both colors.

My technique is simple

first you mix gore red paint with pva (elmers) glue in a ratio of about 1:5 then you mix it well with the end of a toothpick.

Wait for this to begin to dry and just as any solids begin to form you stir it once more, continue doing this for about 5 minutes and you should end up with a red coloured stringy gloop than when stuck onto the appropriate area's can look alot like rended flesh.

would you usually do that technique before painting? I'd think you'd do it after.

Glad you found the tutorial useful... I haven't found a sufficient model to use it on yet, haha. But as I said in the original post, the credit goes to L0NEW0LF.
