Just a couple of queries I need clearing up:

1. Which IA book has the rules and stats for the Tauros (both variants)

2. What the is basic points value for both the Tauros Assault and the Venator

the next IA book to come out. No. 8 i believe. it is about the Raven Guard and elysians against orks
It should be coming out sometime soon. perhaps the next couple of months

Both variants will be featured in IA 8. As for when it's coming out, the most reliable sources I know of say either Mid-Year or Christmas.

Don't mind 'eadbreaka. His sarcasm does NOT, I repeat, does NOT reflect on the Aussie style. Sorry about that.

Anyway, yes, it is in IA8. And looking at the above post, that comes out soon.
Looking at the model, which may seem odd, it seems to have the same characteristics of a HellHound, so around that mark seems right, to me, maybe not to you.

@Tim. Thanks for the heads up. The only insight I've had of Australia is watching 'Neighbours' and 'Home and Away

If it has the same characteristics as a hell-hound, why don't you just buy one of them. Then you wouldn't have to bother finding the rules!

Two things:

1. I'm building a 1000pts Recce force (Light mobile wheeled vehicles)

2.Hell-hounds can't carry Las-cannons

Be interesting to see how the different loadouts compete for those precious fa slots...

3. Forgeworld gives more boasting rights

I like the models though to bad I don't play IG and their too fidly for orks.

@ graven, I'll be starting a P&M blog as soon as my USMC(Op Iraqi Freedom) 30mm minis from Black Scorpion turn up. I'm also working on a couple of wheeled 'chimeras' using Space marine land speeders (I know its been done before but hey, it's my army).

@Soladrin, believe it or not I'm not keen on buying Forgeworld stuff for the simple reason that even though they are awesome models, they'll never truly be my own, but the Tauros is too cool to pass up owning.

Interesting, looking forward to the blog! I'm intending to use ikore junker buggies for mine, though not sold on gl variant.

The buggies from Scotia Grendel? They're awesome. I looked at them and also the VASA riot vehicle (Can't remember the name) but I brought one anyway for my Necromunda Enforcer/PDF gang.

But yeah the blog will come soon. I'm on a deadline anyway so I can't hang around too much

In the mean time, you could always run the Lascannon Tauros as an Armoured Sentinel.

@CadianXV, yeah good point. I'm more than happy to wait for now for IA 8 though. I'm more excited about getting my troops. It'll be a few months before this army takes to the field...only a few.
