Ok so I have read the rules many times over multiple combats but I think my interpretation may be wrong.

Due to a post I read here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/287877.page

So the way I read the rules were that you resolved each combat separately for example....

Unit A gets charged by Unit B and C you make your Defenders React move then pick a combat (A vs. C) based upon who is in base contact and within 2" of base contact models you make all the attacks you can and in turn take the attacks you are dealt. Then afterwards you resolve the second combat (A vs. B) deal your attacks as per the rules above and in turn take yours. After all is said and done you must decide who won the combat based upon the total number of wounds taken from both units and the opposing side must add the wounds you dealt to both units to determine who won the combat. From there morale checks are made accordingly.

Please tell me if I am correct I'm my thinking because I would hate to go on playing incorrectly.

Ahead of time thanks for all your responses.

Nope, sorry, you're doing it wrong.

The entire combat is fought as one. The models in unit A must choose whether to hit unit B or C, within the restrictions outlined in the thread to which you have linked.

Ok thanks can I hit both units though? As in say ok this half is attacking C and this half is attacking B?

Each model in your unit chooses which enemy unit (from those with which that model is engaged) to attack.

So yes, you can attack both enemy units.
