This one is the sergeant from a tactical squad morine setup to only be used for special missions. For the six I have used termy legs converted to be attached to regular torsos, to go for a mid ground between the true-scalers and just being slightly taller than the other guys.

You'll want to cover up or disguise the thick belt for sure. I'd recommend filling in the top of the legs with greenstuff. The rebar there leaves it looking too much like terminator armor, especially with the terminator arm on the model.

Are you allowed to wield a storm bolter AND bolt pistol??
Otherwise good work

I think you need to remove the Termie arm and replace with it standard Marine arm with a Storm-Bolter, otherwise it looks too uneven.

I thought about that to Valk, right now its there till I get a better suited version when I get paid again. Wanted to go with a sorta John Woo/Tomb Raider look.

HATE to dampen your parade but (unless you're doing a non codex chapter and not planning on gaming with it) you can't take a bolt pistol and storm bolter. You can take a power sword and storm bolter combo.....
But I agree a storm bolter and bolt pistol combo does look cool.
and as long as you don't use a shoulder pad for the terminator arm the model shouldn't look too out of proportion.

The space marine sergeant may replace his boltgun and/or bolt pistol. I'm only doing what Army Builder and what I interpreted from the book, if I'm wrong I'll change it no problem, not like both can be shot at the same time in any case.

It's annoying you can't have both. But he can only replace the boltgun/bolt pistol arm with a different firearm. He can certainly take the storm bolter, but the other arm has to be a close combat weapon (Power Swords rule)

Well according to the Main Book pistols count as a CCW in CC and if I hadn't replaced the Boltgun with the Storm Bolter he would have had a Boltgun and Bolt Pistol per his Wargear section.

Your sergeant can definitely have both a Bolt Pistol and a Storm Bolter. The "and/or" in the codex covers that for you. I don't know where Corennus is getting his information from, other than maybe a relic from the old codex.

Maybe i'm interpreting the 5th Edition Codex wrong, but it says "The Space Marine Sergeant may replace his boltgun and/or bolt pistol with:"
OK i'm kinda now seeing the OR part in the blurb.
So if he replaces his boltgun armament with a Storm Bolter, he still has his boltgun. And a combat blade for when his guns run dry.
OK cool!
Just a pity you can't have dual pistol wielding normal troops!

I do have one of my regular tac squad faceless minions withe a boltgun in one hand and the pistol in the other. In a sorta I'm about to turn this corner and shoot you in the face pose.

Minor, but important difference in this case. That, and he technically does not have a combat blade. The bolt pistol is the only "weapon" that really counts in close combat for Space Marines, unless upgrades have been purchased. Granted, every unit has the ability to attack in close combat, regardless of weapons listed in the profile.

Personally I think a power weapon will make him much more effective, as the storm bolter's strength makes the bolt pistol a little redundant. But it's up to him. If he wants a Christian Bale style Cleric (Equilibrium) using both guns in close combat then cool.
Just don't send him against anything seriously tough, eg Armour.

Even if you could it would be pointless because you couldn't fire both... only Cypher can do that

Yeah I figured that would be a problem in the long run so I put just enough super-glue to hold the arm in place to take the picture. Figured a 180 pts tac squad (with the sarge having the storm bolter) there isn't enough for him to have a pwr weapon as well since I was gonna have one of the 9 normal guys have a hvy bolter (with relentless USR ^_^)

So he's just gonna have a storm bolter now and normal combat blade?
ok.
And heavy bolters rock in tactical squads. Nothing like your opponent's face falling as you wipe half his attacking squad out with a spray of dice, then backing it up with 8 bolters, and a storm bolter!
