Just curious what (if any) upgrades people are running their Creed squads with.
I was thinking nades or sniper rifles just as support for the squads he'll be ordering around.
Just curious, thanks guys

I give them all plasma rifles, and an Astropath.
Mostly pillbox the Chimera he is in, throw out some support fire and Orders. Use them for a last ditch driveby if necessary.

I do like the idea of keeping a chimera filled with plasmadeath back with my troops in order to detour any attempts to break the line.
I may have to try that out....hrm.

When I run Creed, I usually put him in a Chimera. I snag OotF to prevent flanking, which is sorta important in a heavy infantry list. As for the actual weapons the squad carries... I don't think it matters. I think it more depends on what the army needs, does it need plasma? Does it need grenades? I mean, if your whole army is made of plasma vets, you probably don't need a plasma CCS. Creed can order ftHoC! which is the only melee order available. So try to use that to your advantage, get your squads prepped for the charge into melee. What weapons would best support this kind of action?

First, it seems to me that unless you're playing an all-foot list, a chimera is a good idea. If he's in a chimera, might as well gun the squad up, they're protected for a turn. 1 HWT and 2 grenade launchers/plasmaguns maybe? Unlike a standard CCS, creed is too expensive to throw toward the enemy.
If you want him on foot (which could work well, if you have a lot of terrain on the board, just remember that to use BiD and some other orders, the officer needs LOS to the target) then I actually wouldn't arm the squad heavily. I think most opponents will try and shoot your CCS. Cover saves or not, you're taking casualties. You need some bulletcatchers, chances are the commander's bodyguards are all going to die, no point making it more expensive and giving your opponent a juicier target. At most, put in a vox and standard, I really do think that expensive special weapons are giving your opponent a chance to take more points off.

I think i like the idea of nades/AC more than anything thus far.
However, i know its a complete waste of BS4 but flamers could be useful (assuming you're playing with someone who allows you to shoot out of your chimera....has there been a ruling on that?) as an anti charge type unit.

Probably the most efficient combo in the ig army.
Also, when using Creed< remember he (and all company commanders) has an invul save. My CC survived a Roks in an apoc game once with it.

Creed w/4 flamers is 160 points. A PCS w/4 flamers is 50 points. Honestly, please don't do this. You've paid for 4 orders a turn, keep Creed alive and use those abilities! Your army can be chock-full of other, far cheaper squads that are capable of burning things just as well.
Give him long-range weapons, maybe a vox and standard. Chimera if you are even semi-mechanised.
