I'm trying to find 1st and second edition codex's for Tyranids and pretty much any other army. Just wanted to look at how things used to be, as well as the 1st edition rule book. Anyone have links or something to .pdf cause obviously my local store doesn't sell them.

There is no 1st edition codex for nids.
The codex as you know it came around in 2nd ed. Nids didn't have an army list until 2nd ed anyway. Guard, Marines, CSM, eldar all had lists in Rogue Trader (what 1st ed 40k is called). Tyranids were mostly genestealer cults back then.

You won't find any links to .pdfs of them here because posting them is a violation of the terms of membership (as OOP or otherwise, they are still GW IP and bound by those rules).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Rogue Trader and the earlier codexes are available on ebay and such. I have read the tyranid section of rogue trader. They have zoats as masters of the tyranids and genestealers and I'm not sure if there was much else. The 2nd edition codex should be available. The old codexes are full of history and painting ideas. The codex imperialis from 2nd edition is good for history. It is all about the various factions and an overview of their units. I have the codex imperialis and it's fun to look through and get the history.

Well, there are files floating around on the Internet, but that's kind of illegal, and not for discussion here. If I recall there are sections in Codex Imperialis about Genestealer cults, but I don't have my copy on-hand at the moment. Ebay is your best bet, legally.

I found some of my books by simply going to the local used book store and checking it every few months. Fast and just as cheap as ebay usually.

eBay is your only option then.
