The sink.

I'd like to build a Furioso Dreadnought with blood talons, a melta gun and a heavy flamer. Do you think I should go with the actual Furioso model or the venerable dreadnought kit? I don't think the Furioso comes with a heavy flamer, but the venerable kit might. ??

The Ironclad kit has a melta gun but the Venerable does not.

the Ironclad kit comes with 2 heavy flamers, the olny issue is that one arm is a seismic hammer, so it would take a little work to convert it over to an open fist, although as a frag cannon it could look pretty cool

The GW site offers the Furioso Dread, albeit it is a metal kit and does not have Blood Talons.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

If you haven't glued the DCCW's to your regular dreads, then you could take an Ironclad and use the DCCW from the regular dread as its left arm.

I recommend using the blade-fist chainsaw fist-thing the Ironclad comes with as his left DCCW, it just looks awesome, though it wouldn't count as blood talons.

I don't really know if there are blood talon bitz available for sale, does anyone happen to know?

my current idea for my Furioso Dread with blood talons is this...

1xDreadnaught (maybe ironclad.. but a normal one without arms would be a cheaper option)
2xDreadnaught claw weapons (Lefty and Righty) from forgeworld.

Will have to hunt for bits and peices to finalise the thing however

I think that the blood talons shown on the one in the codex are from Bjorn the Fell Handed, IIRC. I think it's a you "have to convert it" thing right now. I'm thinking Iron clad kit with a spare fist from a black reach dread. Take a good sized plastic fork, cut the tips of the dreads "fingers" off and mate the tines to that to create blood talons.
