You're not reading Brethren by any chance are you?

As for the mini's they look great, for the battle damage I would say add a little bit more to the ends of the ramps where they slam into the ground.

The marine is awesome love the movement you've given him. How exactly are you painting him though? I think he would benefit from some highlights on the red and some more shading on the white.

Name wise don't forget that the Black and White Templars come from IF stock so you could use something from their background too.

This is one of my testers for my own DIY Templar army and there a few more in my gallery. Hope this gives you an idea of what I meant about the shading.

@Arrathon, I just placed the mini in a very ramshackle light box black card for the floor, back and two sides.

@cosmic pixie, thanks for the compliment and I know what you mean about the patchiness but this was only ever really a test mini to map the colours and try out the technique. In the end I didn't go with this scheme because of time.

Don't forget Templar iconography is not just Red and White, the mantles were for sure but only on the knights. sergeants would have worn a black of brown tunic. The actual banner for the Templar is a half black and half white field with the Templar cross at its centre in red.

This is my point why not use an halved or quatered pattern on the tank using the black and white motif and then add the large templar cross you have on the first test pred to that. Would be striking and would help tho break up the white of the tanks.
