Subject: Does the units banner, and the BSB "stack"

Basically what the subject line says
If i have a unit of say black guard with the banner of hag graef (always strikes first)
And i join that unit with my BSB and he has the hydra banner (all units gain +1 attack in first round of close combat)
Do those stack.
Would the entire unit get +1 attack and always strike first. Cant find a rule in the book saying they dont.

It's ok, the title would suggest that's what the OP was asking for - it they had said "special effects of...." it would have been clearer
