Anyone thought of using War of the Ring bases for a demon army??
I have most of my demons based on fantasy bases and one of our players hates it when I use them in a 40k game.
Just wondered if they where the right size and if it would even work.

I think that it's Gale Force 9 that do a 40K to Ranked Fantasy movement tray.

I'm going to do the exact same thing with my daemon army, a better idea would be to go to gf9 and buy their custom bases as you can get ranks properly without having to chop up lots of plastic!

LoTR models are on the same bases as 40k (25mm) so 40k models would fit perfectly into the trays.

Hope that helps.

The WOTR bases are for ROUND bases to get them to rank up better.
Square bases will be an odd fit in the round holes.

I use them for my IG infantry squads (platoons) though - with the 8 models in them and the heavy weapon team on a separate 60mm base.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The LOTR movement trays add several mm to the front of the formation, so they will not be accurate at all for fantasy's 'how many attacks' system.
