I was curious as to why so many posts lately have been closed by MODS. I have noticed it a lot lately in the News ad Rumors sections. I cant go a single day without one or more topics being closed by MODS. They aren't even consistent with their standards and explanations of why a topic was closed. Right now on the first page of the News and Rumors board there is a closed topic asking about plastic mega nobz. The explanation given was you don't ask questions about rumors, but right there with it is an active post asking about rumors of the FW storm Eagle and it is alive and well and has actually been commented on by Yakface, an ADMIN! Why is it that both topics ask the same type of question, but one was axed and the other allowed to go on? This makes no sense.

Then we have an active Mantic topic that is just closed because the MOD felt that the topic had topped out. If people are still playing nice and actively discussing the item in question is that not proof enough that the topic is still of interest to the people posting?

The rules that you established seem to get bent and broken depending on how "cool" a topic is. Right now there are several topics discussing the Ultramarines movie going on in the News and rumors area, but the topics have nothing to do with miniatures, but a movie. I am sure if someone posted a topic about a new Starship Troopers movie it would be closed before the poster finished typing.

If you aren't going to be consistent with your standards then why even have them? All it does is confuse new people and upset older members.

The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret: The Mods? They're actually... human beings!

Decsions may seem arbitrary, but they usually aren't.

And believe me, the News and Rumors Forum here is WAY more lenient than most 'other' places.

As for your specific example, there has been NO real buzz about plastic MegaNobz. There has, however, been buzz about a Storm Raven, especially with some of the recent developments with FW's version of the thing.

Still, as always, if you feel the need to appeal to a Higher Power (Yakface or Legoburner), please do so.
