Placed an order almost a month ago (3/12/10) and still haven't received my shipment and now I get no response from the emails I have sent. Has anyone else had issues with Zuzzy, or received their orders after a month? I want to know if I still have a chance an receiving my product before I dispute my purchase through paypal.

I bought a sample from them...6 months ago maybe? Took about 2 weeks to get them (I didn't get the mat because I didn't care for the latex smell it left on my hands).
Haven't looked at them recently. They're a pretty small company so if somebody takes a vacation or something, I think they almost shut down.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Took about a month to get the mat I ordered, so I wouldn't necessarily panic just yet.
They're a home-based business that is done around all the family's actual, full-time jobs. They do all the casting, etc, in their garage and have a fairly significant pile of orders.
Absolutely worth the wait, though.

I hope you are right. I really am looking forward to the game mat.
On the other hand, small business or not, not answering emails within a weeks span is piss poor business practice.

Reading their forum, seems others have the same issue with them and they all got the following:
1. Zuzzy don't check up their emails very regularly or respond in much of a hurry.
2. The stuff does get there, they aren't scamming folks and are a legit business.
3. They seem slow at processing orders.
I don't really get why so many of these small companies (minis, bits, accessories) have to be so crap at responding to emails from concerned customers though. I get the 'this isn't my real job' bit, but taking an hour with your morning coffee on a Saturday to get a few emails answered shouldn't hurt too much.

I just placed an order with them about a week ago, so sad to see this thread appear.
The "this isn't my real job" bit cuts zero ice with me, once you took money that I earned from my "real job". But, I'm patient yet.

Just got this email:
_______________________________________________________
Dear ZUZZY Miniatures customer,
Recently, I found a number of orders that, although were filed in our system as having been sent out, were in fact, never sent out. Of course I immediately proceeded to get those orders sent out to the customers that ordered them.
However, the extra unexpected orders to fill, along with a surge of recent orders has caused me to fall behind on shipping out all of the orders.
Consequently, I'm sending this email to let you know that I will be getting your order out to you, but it will take a little longer than the estimate I sent to you in the order confirmation email. I am approximately two weeks behind. So USA customers should expect delivery in about five weeks from the time of placing your order. International customers can expect about six to eight weeks.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Best regards,
James Hubbs

OK, my battlemat came today. Here are my thoughts:
My order was placed on April 7th. The estimate was originally 3 weeks, and they were within that timeframe.
The quality of the molded detail is good to quite good, depending.
It smells quite strongly of latex. I'm not sure that's a complaint, per se, as it is made of latex.
4 foot by 6 foot is quite a bit larger then I had thought until I actually saw it. I'm not sure this will fit on my table, and am contemplating building a larger table, or cutting this one down, depending.
All told, I am happy with my purchase, it's of good quality, and would recommend purchasing from them provided you are willing to wait a while. Like Forgeworld, but not all miscast (burn!).

I'd suggest building a bigger table, having the 4'6 is always a bonus, especially for speeding up setting the deployment zones.
As to the Latex smell, that fades after a while, have had the same thing with all my 'new' LARP weapons.

I really would like to see a review of the Terra-Flex gameboard after painting. I would like to get one only if I could paint it and I want to see how that whole thing works out (when it comes to flaking and cracking)

I do plan to post some WIP pics and final pics after painting. I'm waiting to get a larger table before starting that, though. Automatically Appended Next Post: I wound up getting a pair of these tables which should work nice with the portability concept of this mat. The tables fit in my Civic as the fold into 2ft by 3ft squares, whereas a normal 6 foot table would not. At this point, I'll create a new thread for my WIP and such, and leave this one for other Zuzzy discussion.
