No. If a unit fails to spot a Grey Knight unit because of the Shrouding, it just does not fire. It does not fire and then automatically miss.

The Manticore fires Ordnance Barrage - Shrouding says type "G" and Ordnance fire as normal but with double scatter distance if outside the rolled range. So yes, the vehicle does shoot and will probably hit something, somewhere.

Ah yes, I overlooked that. However, if you fire it directly, and fail to see, then you don't lose a missile

No, "guess" range is the old term for Barrage weaponry - you dont have to fire as Barrage if you have LOS (and dont have something preventing you from firing directly)

The missiles are treated as regular Ordnance if fired directly and Shrouding affected G and Ordnance. It does fire, doesn't it?

You wouldn't have LOS if they can't see them.

The Rule does indeed say that "Guess range weapons and Ordnance Weapons". Now, that COULD be interpreted to mean Guess Range Ordnance weapons only, but it can also easily be considered to mean ALL Ordnance weapons.

Where do you get this idea from? You have LoS (as in you check True LoS) but the rules say you are out of spotting range. That is not the same as not having LoS.
