Subject: How do I make the smoke-like things for showing a vehicle destroyed.
I've looked and looked, and I keep finding pictures of people using something to represent the destruction of their vehicles. It looks like smoke coming off it and it's really neat. But I can not find anywhere that explains how to make them, Anyone have a link to a how to or something?

Thanks Luna
My comp's speakers are broken, so I didn't have any sound. What I saw were two hands waving some materials around and fire coming out. I will forever be wondering what the soundtrack was.

We learned that the hard way last year in science class, dont really remember what we were trying to do with that stuff, but what do you know, fire! My teachers face: Priceless
Anyway on topic, I use some steel wool or cotton with some black and red mixed in to make it look like smoke and fire.

Here's a really good tutorial from Ghidorah.
It's more of an explosion than smoke but it would be simple enough to change the shape.....
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/234721.page It would also be possible to insert a flickering battery powered tealight into one of these for extraflashyspecialeffect.
Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.

I took some stuffing from a pillow and basically glued it to a battery powered tealight. It works awesome. The tealights flicker making a burning effect
something like this, cept' mine hide the tealight part
Milky Way, Tingel Arm, Sol System, Earth, That dark shadow right behind you
GW does sell vehicle markers, you know

Not for long. The polar bears are riding the melting glaciers south in search of penguin-steaks.
