So I have been toying with the idea of a "counts-as" Grey Knights army and I think I'm hooked now.

Basically this is a Chapter descended from loyal Thousand Sons from the days of the Heresy. They hunt down those who dabble with the daemonic and rogue psykers. I have a good bit of these models to do, I just need to order more heads and bases. I plan on having a few Dreads that are powered by captured/imprisoned rogue psykers.

Enough babbling, here's the pics!

The force weapon didn't show up well in these shots because the last wash made it a bit shiny which screws up the shot. I will dullcoat him when totally done and hopefully it will pop better. This is just a prelim test model for things to come.

I am also toying with the idea of sculpting scarabs as the "wax" part of the purity seals.

Thoughts?

It's a tabard. Yeah, just a test model to see how the colors interact. I will have actual freehand on the finished product.

I love the use of maxmini heads, and the colors, but the base seems way too big to me.

considering it's a test mini I don't think the base was what it's supposed to be on the final product.

Love it, especially after just reading "a thousand sons". And I really like your fluff idea for the army as well.

That's very good, the faceplate on the Helm works really well.

I also heartily approve of the scarab/seal idea too.

For a test model, it's a great job! I hope you'll show us more!

Yeah, I think it's all systems go on these guys. Just gotta get more bases and heads.

I ordered some bits for a sick idea I had for some termies. Stay tuned...
