Okay quick question guys. If you buy a shield drone for a squad, be it crisis suit or firewarriors, what does it do? Does just the drone get the 4+ invulnerable save or does the whole squad get one?

Only the Drone has the save,

What you do with them is allocate Low AP wounds onto them. Say, for example, a Unit of 3 Broadsides and 2 Shield drones Are shot at by a Squad of 5 Grey Hunters, 4 with Bolters and 1 with a Meltagun. The Rolls are made and you suffer 3 Wounds from the Bolters and 1 From the Meltagun. What you do now is put the Meltagun wound on a Shield Drone, and have a 4+ chance to save it, rather than have the Meltagun Instantly Kill one of your Broadsides.
