I recently purchased cities of death and am moddeling an army that can fight in it appropriately. Im using gaurd and will probably use the combat engineers strategem. I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to makes minesweeper type models to be used as scanners.

I reckon these will be able to make, if you have plasticard.
Two diferent sized discs of plasticard, the slightly larger one on the bottom.
A little screen made from a rectangle of plasticard.
A pole/armature made from steel rod or a big paperclip.

I use the Auspex from the SM sprue. I trim it down slightly and either leave it hanging on belts, or have a squad member use it.

There are plenty of models in the epic range that could be used as a base for ROVs or bomb disposal robots.

I made a simplified mine-sweeper using a kneeling guardsman, poking a stick(though a knife would be better) into the ground whilst calling out (i used the arm from the command sprue)
