Subject: Imperial Fists Honour Guard question
|
 |
Human Auxiliary to the Empire
|
Hi all,
i'm currently in the process of making an Honour Guard squad for my Imperial Fists army, but have a question regarding the painting/fluff to go with them. After consulting the SM codex organisation chart, i notice that the honour guard of the ultramarines is listed under the command section, as a result, would i be right in saying that the would have no specific trim colour i.e the rest of my army which is red to denote the third company.
if that is the case, would it be best to go with the same yellow trim as the main armour colour, or would something like gold be more appropriate?
thanks in advance!
Mike.

As they belong to no specific company I would agree with you (I do the same with my marines) but their armour would be suitably ornate (plenty of silver and gold ect).

And heaven forbid if the Marine would also happen to have an intimidating looking, vertical scar. Then you're surly boned. Those guys are the worst. Not a chance I'd say.

I'd think that the honor guard would be taken from among the ranks of the Veterans of the 1st Company, and thus would keep the white trim. (At least, in the Ultras. Not sure about the Imperial Fists.)

That's a cool mini right there.
Don't like the diorama beside it... should be guardsmen, I somehow can't imagine Marines raising an Imperial Aquila...
