Hi all,
Just recently got back in wargaming after a 17 year sabbatical, I'm 32. My local club mainly plays 40k so I have started off with a Tau army, and love it. At the moment building my army and painting furiously, and learning alot too!
Great to have a nice community to chat with and I look forward to speaking to many of you.

Sadly, there are no more jam or sustained fire dice, the psychic phase is a pale shadow of what it once was and Terminators saving at 3+ on 2d6 is gone forever!
Still... there's lots of fun to be had, and plastic miniatures are beyond belief these days!

I was kind of in a similar situation, in that I'm 28 and recently returned after like, 14 years! Best (if most expensive) decision I ever made. May the dice gods smile on you - they certainly don't bloody smile on me!

Well I was informed they were the 'strategy and tactical' army, which appealed to me. I have since recognised they are more like -run-kite-but-don't-get-into-assault army

Be careful - my bank account took a big hit when I decided to come back after about a 15 year break..
"I'll just touch up my Eldar and buy a few more models to get a 1500 point army going.."
Now, with an overwhelming Apocalypse sized Eldar force and four additional armies later..
