Apologies ahead of time. But a quick forum search for Vehicle and Morale check didn't bring me success.

There are 6 guys inside a vehicle. Two guys fired weapons that have the gets hot rule. We tracked their shooting separately so that gets hot could be enforced properly. Both guys guns "got hot" and both guys failed their armor checks.

So, the unit just went from 6 guys to 4, or a 33% loss.

1. Do they make a morale check? They lost >25% of their numbers in the same shooting phase. However, does that matter in a vehicle?
1a. If so, do they immediately disembark then run off towards their board edge?

This happened on Saturday and we were at a loss. We figured that the guys would disembark and run for it. We couldn't find a rule that said you never had to make a check while in the vehicle.

You take a morale check, then the game breaks because there are no rules to cover what happens if an embarked unit falls back, since you can only disembark in the Movement phase.

So, RaW the game assplodes, Following the INAT FAQ you just ignore it.

As, Gwar! said, this causes the game to break.
Our group ignores Morale checks for embarked units.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

GWAR is correct, alternative rulings I have seen used include you disembark in the relevant phase and fall back as normal, or you don't disembark in that phase because it is illegal and instead you wait for your next movement phase, attempt to regroup, and if you fail you disembark then and fall back.

It's really down to personal taste, even in a tournament (of course, it's the TO's taste that matters then though, not yours).

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Upon seeing their two buddies weapons detonate and being showered in the bloody gutty pieces of the wielders of the weapons, the remain squad members look uneasily at their weapons, then discard them. They no longer have any ranged weapons. All they can do is assault.
