New wargamer here. Anyway, every group has rules of etiquette that outsiders often aren't privy to: usually, the first time you find out you screwed up is when someone gives you a dirty look and then someone else quietly whispers into your ear what you did wrong. Any things a totally new wargamer should keep in mind that would keep those embarassing moments to a minimum?

The best wargaming etiquette tip I can offer is don't "rules lawyer" which means to subjectively interpret the rules to your own advantage.
